We quantify architecture with scientific evidence to generate climate-responsive design. By taking advantage of the specific local climate and surroundings, energy consumption can be minimised to reach almost-zero carbon emissions.
Our aim is to ensure thermal and visual comfort to the occupants with passive strategies. We carry out sensitivity analysis of the different elements of a building to reach desired performance. Collaboration can spark at any stage of the design, from concept to construction, and ranges from single implementations to integrated developments.
The synergy between research and practice brings our work to the forefront of the field and fosters the development of conscious and informed architecture.
Neither should architectural design be a trade-off, nor performance a speculation.
